Larger animals/livestock: Landholders requiring assistance with stock or animal welfare due to flooding can call the Agriculture and Animal Services Hotline on 1800 814 647. The hotline is operational Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm.
Livestock owners can gain emergency access to Local Land Services-managed travelling stock reserves (TSRs) on higher ground, allowing them to move livestock for emergency refuge and grazing. Contact LLS on 1300 795 299 for further information and advice on accessing TSRs during emergencies.

Follow alerts and stay up to date by downloading the Hazards Near Me app, follow NSW SES on social media and listen to local media outlets.
Hazards Near Me shows current information about local emergencies, including flood, storm, tsunami and bushfire, and advice on what to do to stay safe.
You may be told to evacuate by text message, a phone call to your landline, someone at your door, or a warning siren.
Follow the instructions to leave immediately. Grab your emergency kit if you have one, and supplies for 3 to 7 days.
Assist household members who need extra help evacuating.
Tell your neighbours and friends of your decision and assist them, if you can.
If there's time before you leave, turn off the power, gas, water, and lock doors and windows.
Stay with friends or family in a safe location, if you can, or in rented accommodation.
Check evacuation routes are open via Live Traffic.
Disaster Welfare: Evacuation Centre
Disasters can strike suddenly and put people's lives at risk. Emergency Services May determine that people need to evacuate from their homes during a disaster for their own safety. If you need to evacuate from your home, you will hear advice from emergency services including by radio, TV or an app such as Hazards Near Me. For those who can't stay with family or friends and need somewhere to go, you can attend an Evacuation Centre. It's a safe place for people who are displaced from their homes.
During an emergency, evacuation centres may be opened to provide emergency support for you and your animals. You must have your animal emergency bag with you. Remember, these sites may not always be available or suitable for the needs of your animals, so other options are essential.
You will be asked to register yourself as safe. Volunteers may take your details or you may be requested to register online at Register.Find.Reunite, via the Australian Red Cross website.
